Yeah, this didn't turn out to be a great lead article for this section.
I thought of this while cleaning out my keychain. I had this huge collection, like Kramer on Seinfeld. Of course, I couldn't remember what 2/3rds of them were for. Offices I used to work at, clubs I used to belong to, vehicles I used to own...my past was literally weighing me down.
Of course, there's also the broader philosophical angle that our sense of property imprisons us. Everything we acquire is accompanied by a fear of loss.
You're better off with fewer keys, I've found.
